Areca nut Nursery

A well-established arecanut nursery has been developed with a capacity of 25,000 healthy saplings during 2024. Additionally, 16,000 saplings were raised successfully in 2025. The nursery supports quality planting material production and dissemination to farmers.

A natural farming demonstration block has been established for banana cultivation using the variety Grand Naine. The unit showcases chemical-free production practices and eco-friendly crop management. It serves as a learning site for farmers and extension personnel.

Mushroom Production Unit

A paddy straw mushroom production unit has been set up to promote income-generating activities. The unit demonstrates low-cost mushroom cultivation technology. It also provides practical exposure to farmers and trainees.

Cashew nut Mother Plant Block

A cashewnut mother plant block has been developed to maintain true-to-type elite planting material. It supports the production of quality scion wood for grafting purposes. The block ensures availability of superior genetic resources.

Vermicomposting Unit

A low-cost vermicompost production unit has been established for organic nutrient recycling. The unit produces quality vermicompost for use in crops. It also promotes sustainable waste management and soil fertility improvement.

Azolla Production Unit

An azolla production unit has been developed for use as a nutritious feed supplement for dairy cattle. It also contributes to soil health management when used as organic input. The unit supports integrated farming systems.

Dairy Unit

The dairy unit consists of five female cows with a combined milk production capacity of about 40 litres per day. It provides a regular source of income and organic manure. The unit also supports on-farm nutrient cycling.

Greenhouse Facility

A greenhouse facility has been established for protected cultivation of winter vegetables. It enables off-season and high-quality vegetable production. The structure supports efficient resource use and climate-resilient farming.

Jalkund (Water Harvesting Structure)

A jalkund has been constructed for rainwater harvesting and storage. It provides supplemental irrigation during the winter season. The structure enhances water use efficiency and ensures crop sustainability during dry periods.
