Mandate of KVK
- The core mandate of KVK is technology assessment, refinement, and demonstration of agricultural technologies under different farming situations to enhance productivity, profitability, and sustainability of agriculture and allied sectors.
Specifically, the mandate includes
- 1.Assessment and refinement of technologies through On-Farm Testing (OFT) to identify location-specific solutions.
- 2.Demonstration of proven technologies through Front Line Demonstrations (FLDs) to establish their production potential.
- 3.Capacity building of farmers, farm women, rural youth, and extension personnel through need-based vocational and skill-oriented training.
- 4.Acting as a knowledge and resource centre for agricultural technologies and information at the district level.
- 5.Promoting sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture through appropriate interventions.
